HDF and netCDF Data Support in ArcGIS

NetCDF (network Common Data Form) and HDF (Hierarchical Data Format) are widely used data models for storing and distributing multidimensional scientific data such as temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, and direction. This session will provide an overview of HDF and netCDF data support in ArcGIS, how to ingest and visualize these formats in ArcMap, and will include examples of spatial and temporal analyses. This session will also discuss and demonstrate how to extend the data management and analytical capabilities of netCDF and HDF data in ArcGIS using third party python packages and will share some ideas about extending these capabilities in future.
