This tutorial will include an introduction to the HDF5 utilities through the hand-on examples and a brief overview of using HDF5 with Python and Andrew Collette's h5py module. The tutorial covers two main areas: a) an introduction to the HDF5 utilities; b) a demonstration on tools and Python module with real use examples.
