This document describes the OBPG_CZCS data files. This document is sub-divided into three sections: OBPG_CZCS level 1, OBPG_CZCS level 2 and OBPG_CZCS level 3 respectively. All the files are pure HDF4 files.
The following table summarizes the information collected for all the files:
File type | File size(avg.) | Datafield Dim. Range | CF-compliant information | Other special issues |
---|---|---|---|---|
HDF4 | 12MB | 2D | 1. Both geolocation field and datafield have ‘units’ and ‘long_name’ attribute; 2. 'units' attribute for latitude and longitude does not follow CF conventions; 3. There are fill values inside the data but there is neither a 'Fill_Value' attribute nor a 'missing value' attribute | Interpolation is needed to calculate latitude or longitude |
The following table summarizes the information collected for all the files:
File type | File size(avg.) | Datafield Dim. Range | CF-compliant information | Other special issues |
---|---|---|---|---|
HDF4 | 120MB | 2D | 1. Both the data fields and geo fields have ‘units’ and ‘long_name’ attribute. Data fields also have ‘slope’ and ‘intercept’ attribute; 2. 'units' attribute for latitude and longitude does not follow CF conventions | Interpolation is needed to calculate latitude or longitude |
The following table summarizes the information collected for all the files:
File type | File size(avg.) | Datafield Dim. Range | CF-compliant information | Other special issues |
---|---|---|---|---|
HDF4 | 70MB | 2D | 1. Data fields have 'units', 'base', 'slope' and 'intercept' attributes; 2. 'units' attribute for latitude and longitude does not follow CF conventions; 3. There are fill values inside the data but there is neither a 'Fill_Value' attribute nor a 'missing value' attribute | 1. Latitude and longitude need to be calculated based on some attributes; 2. The application of 'slope' and 'intercept' attributes is special. |
