HDF AND HDF-EOS WORKSHOP VII
September 23- September 25, 2003
Purpose:
- Continue ongoing dialog on HDF and HDF-EOS-related development.
- Communicate strategic goals.
- Stimulate exchange among users of the standard.
- Collect feedback to help prioritize work over the coming year.
- Educate participants in the use of HDF and HDF-EOS-related applications.
Topic areas include:
- Tutorials on How to Program in HDF & HDF-EOS. The NCSA HDF group and the ECS HDF-EOS developers will provide tutorials. This session will be of particular interest to data product designers and HDF tool developers.
- HDF & HDF-EOS Standards Workshop sponsored by NASA and NCSA. Presenters will discuss what's new and what's coming regarding HDF & HDF-EOS standards. Tool developers and data producers are the target audience but general science users may also find it of interest.
- One-on-One Consulting Sessions with HDF and HDF-EOS Developers. HDF & HDF-EOS representatives will be available for one-on-one consulting to answer questions about HDF & HDF-EOS standards, libraries and tools.
- Tool Demos and Training. Demonstrations and training for tools to access and view HDF & HDF-EOS data. This session is geared toward the scientist end users and will provide step-by-step demonstrations of tool features as well as hands-on training.
